Stargates: Layers & Process is an interactive experience that deepens the viewer’s connection to creative practice, metaphysical realms, and the expansion of awareness through art.
L. Mylott Manning’s Stargate series is a guiding tool for metaphysical awakening. With parallels to how traditional mandalas are made, each Stargate is set with an intention, has a center point, and is within a framework. They are numbered to mark a moment in time.
Manning is a Reiki Master who imbues her artwork with universal healing energy. Crushed quartz crystals are included in the under-painting and each piece is created through a process of layering fabric and paint, with metaphysical aspects woven throughout.
During this artist-in-action performance, the audience is invited to ask questions and converse with the artist, as she demonstrates how each of her Stargate artworks is created. To activate the pieces further, viewers are encouraged to set their individual intentions for the work and meditate with it.
Live music by composer & Electronic artist Gabó will set the atmosphere over the course of the performance. Gabó's instrumental and cinematic productions reflect influences from Electronic sub-genres such as Downtempo and Ambient, to more common genres, such as Rock and Classical.
